A new build only looks new if the paintwork is right
New construction is a different discipline to repainting. Surfaces are raw rather than coated, plasterboard needs sealing before it will take a finish evenly, and everything is measured against a specification and a handover date rather than against how it looked before.
We work for owners of newly completed homes across the Molonglo Valley, Gungahlin and the newer Belconnen estates, as well as on knockdown rebuilds in the established suburbs. That includes the work builders often leave out of the base contract: garages, alfresco ceilings, feature walls and colour upgrades.
If your build is complete and you are dealing with touch ups or defects, repainting and renovation painting may be the better fit.

Finished to the builder or architect specification, with products recorded for your handover documents.
Sealing and priming raw surfaces
New plasterboard, render and timber sealed properly so the topcoat sits evenly instead of flashing across joints.
Full interior finish
Walls, ceilings, doors, skirtings, architraves and built ins, coated to the specified sheen level and colour.
Exterior finish
Render, cladding, eaves, fascia and exterior timber, with the correct exterior system for the substrate.
Sprayed doors and joinery
Doors, cabinetry and trim sprayed for a smooth, even result with no brush marks, as covered under spray painting.
Items outside the base contract
Garages, alfresco ceilings, laundries and feature walls that builder contracts frequently exclude.
Defects and handover touch ups
A final pass before inspection, then a return visit for anything raised during your defects period.
Meeting the specification and the date
On a new build the finish is judged against a document, so we work to that document.
Products named, not substituted
We quote the specified system. If an alternative would perform better we raise it in writing rather than swapping it quietly.
Sheen levels matched room by room
Ceilings, walls, wet areas and trim each take a different sheen. Getting this wrong is the most common new build paint complaint.
Coordinated with other trades
We schedule around flooring, cabinetry and electrical so our finish is not damaged by work that follows.
Ready for inspection
A full walk through before handover, with a punch list closed out rather than left for the inspector to find.
