Sprayed exterior finish on a Canberra home, garage door and render

Some surfaces should never be finished with a brush

On flat panel doors, cabinetry, trim and large ceilings, a brushed or rolled finish always shows its texture. Spraying removes that: an even film, no lap lines, no stipple and no brush marks. On new joinery and doors it is the difference between a builder finish and a furniture finish.

It is also the efficient choice on large areas. Warehouse walls, high ceilings and industrial cladding can be coated far faster and more evenly sprayed than rolled, which is why almost all of our warehouse and industrial work is sprayed.

Spraying needs containment, though. Masking and screening take longer than the spraying itself, and that is what keeps overspray off your floors, glass and fittings.

What we spray

Interior and exterior, residential and commercial, on site or set up in a controlled area.

Doors and door frames

Flat panel and moulded doors sprayed for a smooth, even finish that a brush cannot match.

Cabinetry and joinery

Kitchen doors, built ins, shelving and vanities, including colour changes to existing cabinetry.

Skirtings, architraves and trim

Crisp lines and an even sheen along every run, particularly on new work before flooring is laid.

Ceilings and large wall areas

Fast, even coverage on big surfaces, including high ceilings reached with proper access.

Industrial and commercial areas

Warehouse walls, cladding, structural steel and plant, coated efficiently while a site keeps operating.

Exterior cladding and features

Weatherboard, panelling and profiled surfaces where a sprayed finish gives better coverage into the profile.

What spraying involves on site

The finish is the easy part. Protecting everything around it is the work.

Masking and containment first

Floors, glass, fittings, benchtops and adjacent surfaces sealed off before a trigger is pulled.

The right gun and tip for the coating

Airless, air assisted or HVLP depending on the product and the surface. Using the wrong setup shows in the finish.

Multiple thin coats

Built up in passes rather than one heavy application, which is how you avoid runs, sags and orange peel.

Occupied spaces handled carefully

In lived in homes and trading businesses we spray out of hours and ventilate properly before handing back.
